University Place Duck Daze Parade. Every year on the first Saturday in June the University Place community gets together for the annual Duck Daze celebration. The event began about 18 years ago when TCC member Dixie Harris and Terry Reim, founders of the University Place Farmers Market, felt that they needed an event to celebrate the end of the rainy season, as well as, the wonderful improvements to Bridgeport Way. The yellow duck was adopted as the symbol of the parade and is now a community mascot. Download the Duck Daze Flyer... (coming later, please check back...) This is an important and fun event and one that everyone should plan to attend. We will be taking City Council members along for the ride. |

35th Annual Car Corral at the Pacific Northwest Historics Vintage Races at Pacific Raceways. The car corral at this event is an opportunity for local car clubs to display their cars in reserved parking right next to the track; in addition there is the opportunity to drive your car on the track in parade laps during a break in the racing action. Admission to the corral for car and driver is $30.00. Passengers are charged $25.00 ($5.00 for those 16 and under). We need to pre-register for admission to the car corral; therefore you need to pay your $30.00 to Michael Campsmith by the TCC meeting on June 2nd. |
