University Place Duck Daze Parade. Every year on the first Saturday in June the University Place community gets together for the annual Duck Daze celebration. The event began about 17 years ago when TCC member Dixie Harris and Terry Reim, founders of the University Place Farmers Market, felt that they needed an event to celebrate the end of the rainy season, as well as, the wonderful improvements to Bridgeport Way. The yellow duck was adopted as the symbol of the parade and is now a community mascot. Download the Duck Daze Flyer... (coming later, please check back...) This is an important and fun event and one that everyone should plan to attend. We will be taking City Council members along for the ride. |
TCC is the only corvette club invited to participate. Feel free to decorate your vette with a duck theme. Contact: Dixie Harris |

 Drive to Alderbrook Resort for LunchPlease join TCC for a drive to Alderbrook Resort on the shores of Hood Canal. We will take the back roads through Kitsap Peninsula. The route has plenty of twists and turns & offers views of some lovely scenery. Drive will take approx. 2 hours with a rest stop in the middle. Turn by turn directions provided. |

Drive to Bellingham along Chuckanut Drive, then the next day to Mt. Baker. Saturday we will drive the backroads to overnight in Bellingham, with a lunch stop about half way. Then on Sunday we will drive up to Mt. Baker and hopefully out to Artist Point (assuming the road is free of snow). To keep costs more under control we will be staying at the Quality Inn Grand Suites, 100 E. Kellogg Road, Bellingham, WA 98226, telephone: 360-647-8000. (Hotel in Bellingham, WA | Quality Inn® Official Site | Quality Inn Grand Suites Bellingham (choicehotels.com). Rooms for this date are approximately $150.00/night including tax.
